1. Poland Reports 95 Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars
On December 9 and 13, Poland reported 95 outbreaks of African swine fever in wild boars across five regions, including the Pomeranian Voivodeship, resulting in the infection and death of 119 wild boars.
2. One outbreak of African swine fever in domestic pigs has been reported in Moldova.
On December 9, Moldova reported an outbreak of African swine fever in domestic pigs in the Dondușeni District, resulting in the infection and death of four pigs.
3. Two Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars Reported in Italy
On December 11, Italy reported two outbreaks of African swine fever in wild boars in the Liguria region, resulting in the death of two infected animals.
4. Thirty Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars Reported in Hungary
On December 11, Hungary reported 30 outbreaks of African swine fever in wild pigs in two regions, including Komárom-Esztergom County, resulting in the infection and death of 30 wild pigs.
5. Fifty Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars Reported in Germany
On December 12, Germany reported 50 cases of African swine fever in wild boar in the state of Hesse, resulting in the death of 50 infected animals.
6. One outbreak of African swine fever in wild pigs has been reported in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On December 12, Bosnia and Herzegovina reported an outbreak of African swine fever in the Republika Srpska, resulting in the infection and death of nine wild boars.
7. Ten Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs Reported in Romania
On December 13, Romania reported 10 outbreaks of African swine fever in domestic pigs in six counties, including Bistrița-Năsăud County, resulting in 166 infected pigs, 26 deaths, and the culling of 40 pigs.

1. Forty-two outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in dairy cattle have occurred in the United States.
On December 9, the United States reported 42 outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in dairy cattle in California, with multiple animals infected.
2. Eleven outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry and one in wild birds have been reported in the United States.
On December 13, the United States reported 11 outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and 1 outbreak in wild birds in California and another location, resulting in the culling of 671,000 poultry, the death of 28 free-range poultry due to infection, and the culling of 12 additional birds.
3. One outbreak of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry and 13 outbreaks in wild birds have been reported in the Netherlands.
On December 9 and 10, the Netherlands reported one outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and 13 outbreaks in wild birds across five regions, including Friesland. Ten poultry were infected and died, 63,000 were culled, and 13 wild birds were infected and died.
4. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N5 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Norway.
On December 9, Norway reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza subtype H5N5 in wild birds in Rogaland County, resulting in the death of one infected wild bird.
5. Three outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and nine in wild birds have been reported in Germany.
On December 9, 10, 11, and 13, Germany reported three outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and nine in wild birds across six regions, including Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. A total of 6,280 poultry were infected, 2,125 died, 23,000 were culled, and 14 wild birds were infected and died.
6. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry has been reported in Japan.
On December 9, Japan reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in Miyazaki Prefecture, resulting in the infection and death of 955 birds.
7. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Iceland.
On December 9, Iceland reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in the city of Gao Wei, resulting in the death of one infected wild bird.
8. Four outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and two in wild birds have been reported in the United Kingdom.
On December 9 and 13, the United Kingdom reported four outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and two in wild birds in England, with 4,237 poultry infected, 4,217 deaths, and two wild birds infected and dead.
9. Three Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in France
On December 9 and 13, France reported three outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in three locations, including the Ain department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, resulting in the infection and death of 15 wild birds.
10. Two Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N5 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in Iceland
On December 10, Iceland reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N5 avian influenza in wild birds in the capital region and one other area, resulting in the death of five infected wild birds.
11. Five outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds and two in poultry have been reported in Hungary.
On December 10 and 11, Hungary reported five outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds and two in poultry across five locations, including Komárom-Esztergom County. Five wild birds were infected and died, 757 poultry were infected and died, and 145 poultry were culled.
12. Two Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Poultry Reported in Italy
On December 11, Italy reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in the Veneto Region and another area, resulting in 24,000 infected birds, 329 deaths, and the culling of 44,000 birds.
13. Three Outbreaks of H5N1 Subtype Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Poultry Reported in Canada
On December 12, Canada reported three outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in British Columbia, resulting in the infection and death of 11,000 birds and the culling of 831,000 birds.
14. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Portugal.
On December 12, Portugal reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in the Faro District, resulting in the death of one infected wild bird.
15. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Switzerland.
On December 12, Switzerland reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza subtype H5N1 in wild birds in the canton of Thurgau, resulting in the death of one infected wild bird.
16. Three Outbreaks of H5N1 Subtype Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in Colombia
On December 12, Colombia reported three outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in two regions, including Chocó Province, resulting in the infection and death of 171 free-range poultry and the culling of 170 others.
17. Four Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in Poland
On December 13, Poland reported four outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in four areas, including Opole Province, resulting in the death of seven infected wild birds.
18. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Denmark.
On December 13, Denmark reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in the municipality of Middelfart, resulting in the death of one infected wild bird.
19. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N5 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in the United Kingdom.
On December 13, the United Kingdom reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza of the H5N5 subtype in wild birds in England, resulting in the death of two infected wild birds.
20. Five Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in Austria
On December 13, Austria reported five outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in three regions, including Lower Austria, resulting in the infection and death of five wild birds.

1. Nine Outbreaks of Bluetongue Virus Serotype 3 in the United Kingdom
On December 9 and 13, the United Kingdom reported nine outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 3 in England, affecting 19 cattle.
2. One case of pseudorabies has occurred in France.
On December 9, France reported an outbreak of pseudorabies in the Dordogne department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, with one farmed wild boar infected.
3. Four outbreaks of nodular dermatosis have occurred in Japan.
On December 10, Japan reported four outbreaks of lumpy skin disease in two prefectures, including Fukuoka, involving four infected cattle and the subsequent culling of 27 animals.
4. Seventeen Outbreaks of Bluetongue Serotype 3 Reported in the Czech Republic
On December 10, the Czech Republic reported 17 outbreaks of Bluetongue virus serotype 3 in five regions, including the Karlovy Vary Region, with multiple cattle infected.
5. One outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 3 reported in Poland
On December 10, Poland reported an outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 3 in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, with 10 cattle infected.
6. Two Outbreaks of Bluetongue Serotype 3 in Liechtenstein
On December 10 and 13, Liechtenstein reported two outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 3 in the Schaan district and another location, with two cattle infected.
7. One outbreak of Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome in Israel
On December 11, Israel reported an outbreak of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome in the northern region, with multiple domestic pigs infected.
8. Sixteen Outbreaks of Sheep Pox in Greece
On December 11 and 13, Greece reported 16 outbreaks of sheep pox in two regions—Thessaly and Central Greece—resulting in infection of 178 sheep and goats and the death of 35.
9. One outbreak of sheep pox has occurred in Bulgaria.
On December 12, Bulgaria reported an outbreak of sheep pox in Sliven Province, with two sheep infected.
10. One outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 3 has occurred in Norway.
On December 12, Norway reported an outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 3 in Agder County, affecting five cattle.
11. One outbreak of bovine babesiosis has occurred in Ecuador.
On December 12, Ecuador reported an outbreak of bovine babesiosis in Napo Province, with two cattle infected.
12. Fourteen Outbreaks of Bluetongue Serotype 8 in Greece
On December 13, Greece reported 14 outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 8 in the regions of Macedonia and Thrace, affecting 180 sheep.
13. Twelve Outbreaks of Bluetongue Virus Serotype 3 in Denmark
On December 13, Denmark reported 12 outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 3 in five locations, including the municipality of Varde, involving 32 infected cattle and 2 deaths.
14. Five Outbreaks of Bluetongue Serotype 3 in France
On December 13, France reported five outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 3 in four areas, including the Morbihan department in the Brittany region, with six cattle infected.
