1. Fifty-one outbreaks of African swine fever in wild boar have been reported in Germany.
On December 17, Germany reported 51 cases of African swine fever in wild boar across three regions, including Rhineland-Palatinate, resulting in the infection and death of 51 wild boar.
2. Five Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs Reported in Serbia
On December 17, Serbia reported five outbreaks of African swine fever in domestic pigs in four districts, including the North Banat District, resulting in 11 infected pigs, 10 deaths, and the culling of 189 pigs.
3. Two Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs Reported in South Africa
On December 17, South Africa reported two outbreaks of African swine fever in domestic pigs in the North West Province and another location, resulting in the infection and death of 23 pigs.
4. Twelve Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs Reported in the Dominican Republic
On December 17, the Dominican Republic reported 12 outbreaks of African swine fever in domestic pigs across five regions, including Elías Piña Province, resulting in 112 infected pigs, 52 deaths, and the culling of 4,420 pigs.
5. Poland Reports 101 Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars
On December 18 and 19, Poland reported 101 outbreaks of African swine fever in wild boars across eight regions, including Opole Voivodeship, resulting in the infection and death of 138 wild boars.
6. Two Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs Reported in Ukraine
On December 19 and 20, Ukraine reported two outbreaks of African swine fever in domestic pigs in Mykolaiv Oblast and one other region, resulting in 205 infected pigs and 202 deaths.
7. Fourteen Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars Reported in Hungary
On December 19, Hungary reported 14 outbreaks of African swine fever in wild pigs in three areas, including Komárom-Esztergom County, resulting in the infection and death of 21 wild pigs.
8. One outbreak of African swine fever in wild pigs has been reported in Greece.
On December 20, Greece reported an outbreak of African swine fever in wild boars in the regions of Macedonia and Thrace, resulting in the death of one infected wild boar.
9. Fifteen outbreaks of African swine fever in wild pigs and five in domestic pigs have been reported in Romania.
On December 20, Romania reported 15 outbreaks of African swine fever in wild pigs and 5 in domestic pigs across four counties, including Mureș County. A total of 23 wild pigs were infected and died, 33 domestic pigs were infected with 17 fatalities, and 111 pigs were culled.

1. The United States has reported 122 outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in mammals, 21 in poultry, and 14 in wild birds.
On December 16, the United States reported 122 outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in mammals, 21 in poultry, and 14 in wild birds across six locations, including California. Multiple dairy cows and one domestic cat were infected; 95 poultry died from the disease, 6.619 million were culled, 133 free-range poultry died after infection, and 622 were culled.
2. Four outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds and three in poultry have been reported in Poland.
On December 16, Poland reported four outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds and three in domestic poultry in three regions, including Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. A total of 113 free-range poultry were infected and died, 220,000 poultry were infected, 3,349 died, and 180,000 were culled.
3. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Romania.
On December 16, Romania reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in Timiș County, resulting in the infection and death of 24 wild birds.
4. Eleven Outbreaks of H5N1 Subtype Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in South Korea
On December 16 and 18, South Korea reported 11 outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in four regions, including Gangwon Province, resulting in the infection and death of 11 wild birds.
5 . Thirty-six outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry have occurred in India.
On December 16, India reported 36 outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in two regions, including Kerala, resulting in 64,000 infected birds, 61,000 deaths, and the culling of 168,000 birds.
6. One outbreak of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry and three outbreaks in wild birds have been reported in Germany.
On December 17, Germany reported one outbreak of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry and three outbreaks in wild birds in Lower Saxony and two other regions. A total of 500 poultry were infected and died, 40,000 were culled, and four wild birds and free-range domestic poultry were infected and died.
7. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has occurred in Hungary.
On December 17, Hungary reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in Fejér County, resulting in the death of one infected wild bird.
8. Sixteen outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds and one in domestic poultry have been reported in Japan.
On December 17 and 18, Japan reported 16 outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds and 1 outbreak in domestic poultry in three areas, including Hokkaido Prefecture, resulting in the death of 25 wild birds and 8 domestic poultry.
9. Two Outbreaks of H5N1 Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in Colombia
On December 18, Colombia reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in Magdalena Department, affecting 29 wild and free-range poultry, resulting in 20 deaths and the culling of 34 birds.
10. One outbreak of H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry has occurred in Turkey.
On December 18, Turkey reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in Afyon Province, with 1,000 birds infected, 600 deaths, and 739,000 birds culled.
11. Eighteen outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds have been reported in the Netherlands.
On December 19 and 20, the Netherlands reported 18 outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds across five regions, including Friesland Province, resulting in the infection and death of 20 wild birds.
12. Four outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and four in wild birds have been reported in the United Kingdom.
On December 20, the United Kingdom reported four outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and four in wild birds in England, with 8,589 poultry infected, 1,986 deaths, and four wild birds infected and dead.
13. Five outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds and one in a mammal have been reported in Slovenia.
On December 20, Slovenia reported five outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds and one in a mammal across four regions, including the Dolenjska Statistical Region, resulting in the infection and death of seven wild birds and one wild red fox.
14. Six Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in the Czech Republic
On December 20, the Czech Republic reported six outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in five regions, including the South Moravian Region, resulting in the infection and death of 78 free-range poultry and the culling of 203 birds.
15. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in mammals has been reported in Norway.
On December 20, Norway reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in mammals in Finnmark County, resulting in the death of a wild European lynx.
16. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in marine mammals occurred in the British Virgin Islands.
On December 20, the British Virgin Islands reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza among marine mammals in the West Island District, resulting in the infection and death of 40 wild southern elephant seals.
17. Two Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in Denmark
On December 20, Denmark reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in two locations, including the municipality of Slagelse, resulting in the infection and death of eight wild birds.
18. Two Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in Mexico
On December 20, Mexico reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in Mexico City and another location, resulting in the death of four infected wild birds.

On December 16, Spain reported an anthrax outbreak in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, resulting in the death of two infected cattle.
2. Three West Nile Fever Outbreaks in Germany
On December 16, Germany reported three cases of West Nile virus infection in Berlin and another region, with three wild birds found dead after being infected.
3. One outbreak of New World screw-worm myiasis has occurred in El Salvador.
On December 16, El Salvador reported an outbreak of New World screw-worm myiasis in Morazán Province, with one cattle infected.
4. One equine influenza outbreak reported in Sudan
On December 16, Sudan reported an outbreak of equine influenza in South Darfur State, with one horse infected.
5. One outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 8 has occurred in Greece.
On December 17, Greece reported an outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 8 in the regions of Macedonia and Thrace, affecting 34 sheep, 13 of which died.
6. Ten Outbreaks of Sheep Pox Reported in Greece
On December 16 and 20, Greece reported 10 outbreaks of sheep pox in two regions—Thessaly and Central Greece—resulting in 157 infected sheep and 70 deaths.
7. One outbreak of equine infectious anemia has occurred in Belgium.
On December 18, Belgium reported an outbreak of equine infectious anemia in the Walloon Region, with one horse infected.
8. Two Rabies Outbreaks in Libya
On December 19, Libya reported two cases of rabies in the Green Mountain region, with seven domestic dogs and six sheep infected. Seven dogs and three sheep died, and one sheep was culled.
9. One outbreak of sheep pox has occurred in Bulgaria.
On December 19, Bulgaria reported an outbreak of sheep pox in Kardzhali Province, with 15 sheep infected.
10. One Outbreak of Equine Infectious Metritis in the United States
On December 19, the United States reported an outbreak of equine infectious metritis in South Carolina, with one horse infected.
11. One Outbreak of New World Screw-Worm Fly Infestation in Mexico
On December 20, Mexico reported an outbreak of New World screw-worm myiasis in Campeche State, affecting one cattle.
12. One outbreak of nodular dermatosis has occurred in Japan.
On December 20, Japan reported an outbreak of lumpy skin disease in Fukuoka Prefecture, with one cattle infected.

14. One outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 3 reported in Norway
On December 20, Norway reported an outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 3 in Agder County, affecting six cattle.
15. Two West Nile fever outbreaks reported on Martinique (French territory)
On December 20, Martinique (a French overseas department) reported two cases of West Nile virus infection in the city of Saint-Martin, with 13 horses confirmed to be infected.
16. Eight Outbreaks of Bluetongue Serotype 3 in the United Kingdom
On December 20, the United Kingdom reported eight outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 3 in England, affecting 29 cattle.
17. Eight Outbreaks of Bluetongue Virus Serotype 3 in Denmark
On December 20, Denmark reported eight outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 3 in seven locations, including the municipality of Sønderborg, involving 26 infected cattle and one death.
