1. Two Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars Reported in Greece
On December 23, Greece reported two outbreaks of African swine fever in wild pigs in the regions of Macedonia and Thrace, resulting in the death of three infected animals.
2. Four Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs Reported in Serbia
On December 23, Serbia reported four outbreaks of African swine fever in domestic pigs in two districts, including Nišava District, resulting in 85 infected pigs, 81 deaths, and the culling of 361 pigs.
3. One outbreak of African swine fever in domestic pigs and two outbreaks in wild boars have been reported in Ukraine.
On December 26 and 27, Ukraine reported one outbreak of African swine fever in domestic pigs and two outbreaks in wild pigs in Sumy Oblast and another region, with 25 domestic pigs infected, 16 deaths, and two wild pigs infected and dead.

Avian influenza
1. One outbreak of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in mammals, two in wild birds, and 17 in poultry have been reported in Canada.
On December 23 and 24, Canada reported one outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in mammals, two outbreaks in wild birds, and 17 outbreaks in poultry across six regions, including Alberta. In addition, two wild skunks and one wild red fox were infected; 38 wild and free-range poultry died from the disease; 882 poultry were confirmed dead due to infection; and 490,000 poultry were culled.
2. Two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N5 avian influenza in mammals and one in wild birds have been reported in Canada.
On December 23, Canada reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N5 avian influenza in mammals and one in wild birds in Prince Edward Island and another location. One wild red fox and one wild ringed seal died after infection, and ten wild birds were found dead due to infection.
3. The United States has reported 35 outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in mammals, 3 in poultry, and 3 in wild birds.
On December 23 and 27, the United States reported 35 outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in mammals, 3 in poultry, and 3 in wild birds across six locations, including Colorado. Multiple dairy cows and six domestic cats were infected; one cougar and one polar bear died after becoming infected; 1.777 million poultry were culled; 21 wild and free-range poultry died from infection; and 48 free-range poultry were culled.
4. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Slovakia.
On December 23, Slovakia reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza subtype H5N1 in wild birds in the Košice Region, resulting in the death of two infected wild birds.
5. Two Outbreaks of H5N1 Subtype Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Poultry Reported in Japan
On December 24 and 27, Japan reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in Ehime Prefecture and another locality, resulting in the infection and death of 511 birds and the culling of 27,000.
6. Two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and four in wild birds have been reported in Poland.
On December 24 and 27, Poland reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and four in wild birds in four regions, including the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. A total of 20,000 poultry were infected, 1,175 died, 60,000 were culled, and 17 wild and free-range poultry were infected and died.
7. Eleven Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in the Netherlands
On December 24, the Netherlands reported 11 outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds across six regions, including Gelderland Province, resulting in the infection and death of 11 wild birds.
8. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry has occurred in Israel.
On December 26, Israel reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in the city of Haifa, resulting in the infection and death of 140 birds and the culling of 6,500.
9. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has occurred in Colombia.
On December 26, Colombia reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in Magdalena Province, resulting in the infection and death of 15 free-range poultry.
10. Two Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Poultry Reported in the United Kingdom
On December 27, the United Kingdom reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in England, with 1,088 birds infected and 321 deaths.
11. Two Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in France
On December 27, France reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in two areas, including the Ain department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, resulting in the infection and death of five wild birds.

1. Two to Three Outbreaks of Bluetongue Disease in Norway
On December 23 and 24, Norway reported two outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 3 in Agder County, affecting five cattle.
2. Eight Outbreaks of Sheep Pox in Greece
On December 23 and 27, Greece reported eight outbreaks of sheep pox in two regions—Thessaly and Central Greece—resulting in infection among 60 sheep.
3. One outbreak of leishmaniasis occurred in Belize.
On December 23, Belize reported an outbreak of leishmaniasis in the Orange Walk District, resulting in the culling of one infected domestic dog.
4. Three West Nile Fever Outbreaks in Guadeloupe (French Territory)
On December 24, Guadeloupe (a French overseas department) reported three cases of West Nile virus infection on the island of Basse-Terre, involving three horses.
5. One rabies outbreak reported in Nepal
On December 24, Nepal reported an outbreak of rabies in Bagmati Province, with 667 domestic pigs infected and 263 deaths.
6. Three Rabies Outbreaks in Armenia
On December 24 and 26, Armenia reported three rabies outbreaks in three locations, including Armavir Province, resulting in the deaths of three domestic dogs.
7. Two Outbreaks of Bluetongue Virus Serotype 3 in the United Kingdom
On December 27, the United Kingdom reported two outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 3 in England, affecting two cattle.
8. One outbreak of sheep pox reported in Bulgaria
On December 27, Bulgaria reported an outbreak of sheep pox in Sliven Province, with 60 sheep infected, 4 deaths, and 109 animals culled.
9. Two Outbreaks of Bluetongue Virus Serotype 4 in Cyprus
On December 27, Cyprus reported two outbreaks of Bluetongue serotype 4 in the Paphos District and another location, resulting in infection in 33 goats.
10. One outbreak of nodular dermatosis has occurred in Japan.
On December 27, Japan reported an outbreak of lumpy skin disease in Kumamoto Prefecture, with two cattle infected and three culled.
