1. Poland Reports 202 Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars
On December 30 and January 3, Poland reported 202 outbreaks of African swine fever in wild boars across six regions, including the Greater Poland Voivodeship, resulting in the infection and death of 253 wild boars.
2. One outbreak of African swine fever in domestic pigs has occurred in Albania.
On December 30, Albania reported an outbreak of African swine fever in domestic pigs in Lezhë County, resulting in the infection and death of 18 pigs and the culling of 53 pigs.
3. 135 Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs Reported in Sri Lanka
On January 2, Sri Lanka reported 135 outbreaks of African swine fever in domestic pigs across six districts, including Badulla District, resulting in 27,000 infections, 25,000 deaths, and the culling of 57 pigs.
4. Seven Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Domestic Pigs Reported in North Macedonia
On January 2 and 3, North Macedonia reported seven outbreaks of African swine fever in domestic pigs in four locations, including the city of Bitola, resulting in the infection and death of 36 pigs and the culling of 40 others.
5. Germany Reports 99 Outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Wild Boars
On January 3, Germany reported 99 cases of African swine fever in wild boar in the state of Hesse, resulting in the infection and death of 99 animals.
6. Sixteen outbreaks of African swine fever in wild pigs and three in domestic pigs have been reported in Romania.
On January 3, Romania reported 16 cases of African swine fever in wild pigs and 3 cases in domestic pigs across five counties, including Sălaj County. A total of 16 wild pigs were infected and died, 115 domestic pigs were infected—of which 66 died and 49 were culled.

1. Five Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in the Netherlands
On December 30 and January 3, the Netherlands reported five outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in three regions, including North Holland Province, resulting in the infection and death of five wild birds.
2. Three outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry and one in wild birds have been reported in Poland.
On December 30 and January 2–3, Poland reported three outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry and one in wild birds in two regions, including the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. A total of 90,000 poultry were infected, 4,226 died, 77,000 were culled, and one wild bird was infected and died.
3. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry has occurred in Israel.
On December 30, Israel reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in the northern region, resulting in the infection and death of 1,000 birds.
4. Eight Outbreaks of Highly Pathogenic H5N1 Avian Influenza in Wild Birds Reported in Germany
On December 30 and January 3, Germany reported eight outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds across five regions, including Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. A total of 128 wild and free-range poultry were infected, with 93 deaths and 59 culls.
5. One outbreak of H5 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry has occurred in Germany.
On December 30, Germany reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5 subtype avian influenza in poultry in Bavaria, with 400 birds infected, 300 deaths, and 16,000 birds culled.
6. The United States has reported 29 outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in mammals, 3 in poultry, and 2 in wild birds.
On December 30 and January 2, the United States reported 29 outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in mammals, 3 in poultry, and 2 in wild birds across three locations, including California. Multiple dairy cows and six domestic cats were infected, numerous poultry were infected and died, 765,000 poultry were culled, 83 free-range poultry were infected and died, and 31 were culled.
7. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry has occurred in Albania.
On December 30, Albania reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in the city of Tirana, with 300 birds infected, 265 deaths, and 135 culls.
8. Two Outbreaks of H5 Subtype Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Poultry Reported in France
On December 31, France reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5 subtype avian influenza in poultry in two locations, including the Calvados department in the Normandy region, resulting in 663 infected birds, 154 deaths, and the culling of 25,000 birds.
9. Five Outbreaks of H5N1 Subtype Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Poultry Reported in South Korea
On January 2, South Korea reported five outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in three regions, including North Jeolla Province, resulting in 430 infected birds, 230 deaths, and the culling of 322,000 birds.
10. Six Outbreaks of H5N1 Subtype Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Poultry Reported in Canada
On January 2, Canada reported six outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in poultry in Ontario and two other regions, resulting in the infection and death of 8,096 birds and the culling of 203,000 birds.
11. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Moldova.
On January 2, Moldova reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in the Nisporeni District, resulting in the infection and death of 20 free-range poultry and the culling of 74 others.
12. One outbreak of H5 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds has occurred in Peru.
On January 3, Peru reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5 subtype avian influenza in wild birds in the Cajamarca Region, with two free-range poultry infected, one dead, and one culled.
13. Two outbreaks of H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza in wild birds and two in poultry have been reported in the United Kingdom.
On January 3, the United Kingdom reported two outbreaks of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds and two in poultry in England and other regions, resulting in the deaths of three wild birds and the infection of 3,737 poultry, with 1,069 fatalities.
14. One outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds has been reported in Ireland.
On January 3, Ireland reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza in wild birds in Dublin, resulting in the death of one infected wild bird.

1. Eleven Newcastle Disease Outbreaks in Poland
On December 30 and January 3, Poland reported 11 outbreaks of Newcastle disease in three regions, including Lublin Province, resulting in 2.288 million infected poultry, 21,000 deaths, and the culling of 1.595 million birds.
2. One outbreak of peste des petits ruminants has occurred in Mongolia.
On December 30, Mongolia reported an outbreak of peste des petits ruminants in Khovd Province, with 14 goats infected.
3. One case of contagious caprine pleuropneumonia has occurred in Mongolia. Emotion
On December 30, Mongolia reported an outbreak of contagious pleuropneumonia in goats in Khovd Province, with 27 goats infected, 9 deaths, and 717 goats culled.
4. One outbreak of equine infectious anemia has occurred in Chile.
On December 31, Chile reported an outbreak of equine infectious anemia in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago, with one horse infected.
5. Sixty-five outbreaks of Bluetongue Virus Serotype 4 have occurred in Austria.
On January 2, Austria reported 65 outbreaks of Bluetongue disease type 4 in four regions, including Tyrol, with 116 cattle infected.
6. Austria Reports 196 Outbreaks of Bluetongue Disease Type 3
On January 2, Austria reported 196 outbreaks of Bluetongue disease type 3 in two regions, including Vorarlberg, affecting 324 cattle.
7. One outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 3 in the United Kingdom
On January 3, the United Kingdom reported an outbreak of Bluetongue serotype 3 in England, with one bovine infected.
8. One anthrax outbreak in Colombia
On January 2, Colombia reported an anthrax outbreak in La Guajira Department, with 10 goats infected and dying.
